A compact and bijou family run licensed Bistro located in the oldest part of the quaint Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey in Cornwall. Specialising in traditional home cooked food using fresh local Cornish produce wherever possible (see suppliers). One of the best places to eat in Mevagissey.

 Our chef:

Our chef trained for three years at a top London catering college in Hendon, gaining a General Catering Diploma (with distinctions) and then completed another years higher  college training to be awarded the M.H.C.I. (Member of the Hotel and Catering Institute) qualification. Our chef now has fifty years experience in the catering industry, which includes managerial positions at the Regent Palace hotel in Piccadilly London, Bernie Inns, Trust House Forte at Ascot, Littlewoods restaurant and Sutcliffe Caterers industrial canteen. Further experience includes two years in the Merchant Navy on the Union Castle cruise shipping line and several years catering in the social care sector in Nashley House, a top retirement home. Recent training included another course in Bushey, London specialising in vegetarian cookery.

Blue is one of Mevagissey's best kept secrets tucked away in Church Street, an ideal place to eat out in Cornwall. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project and CharlesTown (location of the tall ships and Poldark filming) are just ten minutes drive away from us. You will find us just 2 minutes walk from the harbour front and 1 minute walk from St. Georges Square which is situated in the centre of Mevagissey. Our central location makes us an ideal venue to dine and watch the many parades which pass by our Bistro window.
